Carmel Mooney’s reputation in advanced skincare and eyelash transformation has been earned  over three decades and three cities.

She earned her beauty credentials first in her own busy London salon in the ‘90s, then in New York, where she joined an elite team at the fabled Equinox Health and Beauty Spa, with a clientele of Manhattan’s most prominent celebrities, socialites and media stars. ​

Bringing skin innovation back home

There she saw, first hand, innovative anti-ageing treatments and trends and was inspired to bring these ideas back to Ireland in the 2000s. She opened two skin salons alongside a training consultancy for beauty professionals throughout Ireland.

Ireland’s first eyelash extension trainer

Carmel introduced lash extensions and lash lift training to Ireland in 2006, and over the last decade she has trained and mentored many of the country’s best lash artists. She set up Opulash in Blackrock five years ago to offer both her areas of expertise – lashes and advanced skincare –  under one roof.

Light, natural lashes: an instant eyelift

​Her approach to eyelash lash extensions and brow transformation focuses on a light elegant touch that is natural and flattering.  Her signature combination of Tint, Shape, Lift and Extend has been likened by clients to an instant eyelift.
